Today is the last day of 2005(Base on the lunar calendar, chinese one)
When Chinese New Year is coming...
we need to perpare lots of things...
it is not just a count down and one-day celebration for the new year...
is few weeks, even whole month...

before the new year come ...
we hv to clean up all the "dirt"...(no matter ur house or urself)
but things to decorate your home...(full of CNY feel)
buy food for CNY...(some may less eat in the normal time, just in CNY...like rice cake)
perpare the red pocket... (married ppl need to give the unmarried)
usually eat a family dinner( 年夜飯 / 做節 ) in the last day of the year, meaning of "reunion"( 團圓 )

in the first day of the new year, need to go to the elderly people's (of your family home, father side) first , say sth for good luck , dinner w/ them...some ppl may not eat meat on the first day of the new year...

the second day, is the day that mother back to her parent's home (or go other mother side elderly ppl's homes)

the third day is the day of argue(a bit strange... @_@ ... tradition tell us on that day will argue w/ others easily...)... so on that day people uauslly go to temple(differemt temple, base on which one you believe...)

so on so on ............

Chinese New Year is a big festival for Chinese...
